Cloning a penalty detail

If you want to create a penalty detail that shares information with an existing one, you can duplicate the existing detail penalty node. For example, suppose your penalty for delinquent water bills is scheduled to increase from 1.5 percent to 2 percent on February 1. You could clone the current detail, change the penalty percent to 2 percent, and specify February 1 as the effective date.

There are two ways to clone a penalty detail. In the Penalty Table Setup tree, you can right-click the node for the detail you want to clone and select Clone Penalty Detail. Infor Public Sector creates an exact copy of the penalty detail node under the same table or detail node using today’s date as the effective date. You can then modify the new detail as required.

You can also clone a penalty detail when modifying the detail. Click Clone in the Modify Existing Penalty Detail dialog box. Infor Public Sector creates an exact copy of the penalty detail node under the same table or detail node using today’s date as the effective date.
