Creating a penalty detail
Note: If you want to create a penalty detail that shares
information with an existing detail, you can clone the existing detail.
- Select Billing > Setup > Delinquency > Penalty Table.
-
In the
Penalty Table Setup tree,
browse to the node in which you want to define a penalty detail.
This can be a penalty table node or a detail node.
-
Right-click the node and select
Create Penalty Detail.
What happens next depends on whether any penalty details are already defined for the current node. If no detail already exists, you must select the property that you want to use. If a detail already exists, the Select Penalty Detail dialog box is displayed. You can then select one of the remaining values for the detail's property. For example, if the existing detail is based on the account area East, you can choose from the other account areas, such as SW and NW.
- If this is the first penalty detail for the current table or detail, select Periodic, Monthly Variable, or One Time under Penalty Model.
- In the grid, select the property that you want to use for the detail.
-
Click
Save.
Infor Public Sector shows a list of values for the selected property.
-
Select the value that you want to use.
For example, if you selected Area, and your agency uses area codes NW, SW, or Midtown, Infor Public Sector will prompt you to pick one of those three codes. If you select NW, then the penalty charges you define for this detail can only be applied to accounts that have an area of NW.
-
Click
Select.
Infor Public Sector saves the detail and shows it in the Penalty Table Setup tree. If this is the first detail for the selected node, Infor Public Sector will also create a second detail called OTHER. This is a catch-all category to account for cases where an account doesn't match any of the values of the selected property.
