Defining an NSF line item

Nonsufficient funds (NSF) line items define the charges your agency applies when payments are returned due to insufficient funds. Only one active NSF line item type at a time is allowed for each Billing family (CDR, Sundry, and Utility).

  1. Select Billing > Setup > Billing > Line Item Setup.
  2. Right-click the NSF node under CDR, Sundry, or Utility and select Create NSF Setup.
  3. Specify this information:
    Name
    Specify a name for the NSF line item.
    Description
    Describe the line item.
    Effective Date
    Specify the date the line item becomes effective.
    Rate Code
    Specify the rate code used to calculate the amount of the line item. NSF line items use the same rate codes as one-off line items.
  4. Click Save.
