Measuring the area of a polygon in the map

  1. In the Map Browser, click Tools and select Measure.
  2. Click the Area button in the measurement tool.
  3. Click the point in the map where you want to put the first corner of the polygon.
  4. Move your mouse pointer and click the second corner of the polygon.
  5. Continue adding corners until you've finished drawing your polygon, then double-click the last corner. As you add corners, the map fills in the space between them and shows the area of the polygon in the measurement tool.
  6. To change the unit of measure, click the arrow button to the right of the current unit and select the new unit from the list.
