Editing records in a grid

To edit existing records in a grid, click the Toggle Edit Mode button Toggle Edit Mode button to enable editing. While in edit mode, the Toggle Edit Mode button changes to Toggle Edit Mode button.

For grids that use a separate window to edit information, click the row that you want to edit to open it. Then enter your changes and click Save.

Inline grids display the Approve Approve button, Discard Discard button, and Redo Redo button buttons when you click Toggle Edit Mode. To edit a record in an inline grid, click each field to be edited and enter the required information. After a change is made, the row is marked with a yellow diamond to indicate that the changes have not been saved.

Note: Some columns in inline grids are read-only and cannot be edited. The columns that are editable are marked with a blue background when the grid is in edit mode.

If a field in a grid has a popup, you can open the popup by clicking the popup button, or by pressing Shift+Enter on your keyboard.

While editing, click Discard to undo your changes or Redo to reapply them. After all changes have been made, click Approve.
