Accessibility features
Infor Public Sector is intended to be accessible to all users. For example, not everyone uses a mouse, so the user interface is designed to support keyboard-only navigation.
The accessibility features described here are currently available. Accessibility is a key design principle for Infor products, and the development team continues to add accessibility improvements. The goal is to bring the product in compliance with Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility standards.
Keyboard navigation
These principles are followed to support keyboard-only navigation:
- Shortcut keys are defined for all
buttons and functions in the interface. From any page, you can press / for a
list of shortcuts. Note: Sighted keyboard-only users can use the arrow keys to navigate in menus, toolbars, and trees.
- Each page has a logical tabbing order for intuitive navigation between elements.
See Keyboard shortcuts.
Support for screen readers
These principles are followed to support screen readers such as JAWS and NVDA:
- All page controls have text labels.
- Alt tags are used for all images.
- User notifications are provided for system events, such as when a page is loading or when the autocomplete service is performing a search.
Ease of Use preferences
The Ease of Use preferences in My Infor include settings that can make Infor Public Sector more accessible. For example, you can disable tooltips if you're using a screen reader. If your agency has defined themes for Infor Public Sector, you can also use the Ease of Use preferences to select a theme.
Themes
A theme is a CSS style sheet or a JavaScript file that defines display settings for the Infor Public Sector site. Agencies can define their own themes to customize the appearance of Infor Public Sector.
If themes are defined, then users can select the themes they want to use from the My Infor Ease of Use preferences. For example, some users might select a high contrast them for better visibility.
