Searching for entries in a popup
In addition to lookups, you can use popups to search for information in Infor Public Sector. You can enter search criteria for popups in two ways.
First, you can click the popup button next to the appropriate field on the form you're using, and then enter search criteria in the fields at the top of the popup. When you first open the popup it shows all valid entries in your system for the selected field. When you enter search criteria and click
, the popup shows a list of entries matching the information that you entered. The other option is to enter search criteria in the appropriate field or fields on the form before clicking the popup button. When you open the popup it shows a list of entries matching the information that you entered.
If you're searching for data for a single field, you can enter partial information and a percent sign (%) to limit your search to entries that begin with that partial information. For example, you can type B% in a Name field to view a list of contacts with last names that start with B.
If you're searching for an entry that consists of multiple fields, such as an address, you can enter search criteria in any of these fields. For example, when searching for an address, you can enter a street name in the Street Name field, a street suffix in the Suffix field, and a city in the City field.
