Disposing asset valuations in bulk

In addition to using Add Asset Valuation or the Asset Valuation InfoViewer to record disposal details for a single asset valuation, you can use the lookup to dispose asset valuations in bulk.

  1. In Lookup Asset Valuations, look up the valuations that you want to dispose.
  2. In the Asset Valuations grid, select each asset valuation that you want to dispose.
  3. Click Action and select Dispose Valuations.
    Infor Public Sector shows the Bulk Dispose Valuation dialog box. This dialog box shows the number of valuations selected for disposal, the number of associated valuation books, and the number of open work orders, asset inspections, and service requests for the associated assets.
  4. Specify the disposal information for the selected assets.
    Specify the disposal date, a description of the disposal, and the disposal value. The disposal value that you specify will be used for each of the selected valuations. The disposal date must be after the last recalculation date for the valuation, and it must be within an accounting period, as defined in Accounting Period Setup.

    You can select the Remove from all Groups check box to remove the selected valuations from all valuation groups that they belong to. You can select the Expire Associated Assets check box to expire the assets associated with the valuation records.

  5. Click Save.
