Asset type attributes
When you define a simple, network, or segment asset type, you can select the attributes that will be available for assets of that type. The attributes that you can select for a particular asset type will depend on the asset class.
In addition to the optional attributes, a small number of basic attributes are available for all asset types. These attributes are standard for all asset types:
- Asset inspections, including inspection schedules and inspection indexes, are available for all asset types.
- The Log tab is displayed in the Asset InfoViewer and the Asset Inspection InfoViewer for all agency-defined asset types, so users can record log entries for assets and inspections.
- You can define unit and group maintenance schedules for all asset types.
- You can create failure definitions and record failures for all asset types.
