Generating asset group inspections

  1. Select Asset Management > Assets > [asset module].
  2. On the tab for the correct asset type, click Lookup Group Inspection Schedules.
  3. Look up the group inspection schedule that you want to use to generate group inspections.
  4. Select the correct inspection schedule.
    Note: You can select more than one inspection schedule in the list to generate multiple group inspections simultaneously.
  5. Click Action, and select Generate Group Inspections.
    The Select Date Range dialog box shows today's date.
  6. Specify the date through which you want to generate inspections in the Generate inspections through a due date of field. Inspections will not be generated outside of the date range indicated by the Cycle From and Cycle To dates in the inspection schedule.
  7. Click OK.
    A group inspection is generated for each group schedule that you selected. If a single schedule calls for the generation of multiple group inspections, a separate group inspection is generated for each date specified in the schedule. For example, if your inspection schedule calls for a reflectivity test on twenty road signs once a month starting on January 5, 2017, the first group inspection will contain twenty inspections (one for each sign) scheduled for January 5, the second group inspection will contain twenty inspections scheduled for April 5, and so on. You can click the Group inspection # link to view and update a group inspection in the Group Inspection InfoViewer.
  8. When you're finished viewing the list of group inspections, click OK.
