Looking up assets in the Asset Browser

Note: You can also look up assets in a lookup.
  1. Select Asset Management > Asset Browser.
  2. Enter your search criteria in the fields at the top of the browser.
If you specify an asset type, the Area, SubArea, District, and Location fields become available, and one or more asset identifier fields are displayed to the right of the Asset list. If multiple identifier fields are displayed, such as for a main or roadway, you can enter information in any or all of the fields.
  3. Click Search.

Infor Public Sector shows an "Asset Category" node for each type of asset that matches your search criteria. You can expand these nodes to see "Asset" nodes for the specific assets that match your search criteria. If the asset is associated with other assets, you can expand the "Asset" node to see these associated assets. If you selected the View Work Orders check box, you can expand the "Asset" node to see the work orders for the asset.

When you click an "Asset" node, basic information about that asset is displayed the right. If you selected the View Costs check box, Infor Public Sector shows resource usage costs for the asset. You can right-click the node and select Open Asset to view and edit the asset record in the appropriate InfoViewer.
