Adding asset warranties

The InfoViewer shows the current number of active warranties recorded for the asset under Warranties on the Life History tab. You can click Details to add, update, or view specific warranties. To record a warranty when creating an asset, scroll down the page and click the Show button next to Warranty. In both cases, warranties are added in the Warranty grid.

  1. In the asset InfoViewer or the Create Asset page, click Add above the Warranty grid.
  2. Specify this information:
    Warranty #
    Specify the number of the warranty covering the asset.
    Expire Date
    Specify the date the warranty expires.
  3. Specify any other information about the warranty.
  4. Click Save.
