Activating an asset

To reinstate an expired asset, such as an asset that was temporarily removed from service for repairs, you can activate the record.

Note: This feature may not be available for all asset types.
  1. In the appropriate asset lookup, look up the asset that you want to activate.
    Note: You can also use the Action button in the asset InfoViewer to activate an asset.
  2. Select the correct asset in the grid.
    You can select more than one asset to activate.
  3. Click Action and select Activate Asset.
    A dialog box is displayed asking if you want to activate the asset.
  4. Click OK.
