Creating a network asset

  1. Select Asset Management > Assets > [Asset Module].
  2. On the correct asset type tab, under Asset Inventory, click Create.
  3. Select the asset type of the first endpoint from the Main ID list, and then specify the asset ID in the field to the right.
  4. Select the asset type of the second endpoint from the To list, and specify the asset ID.
  5. Specify the line number in the # field.
  6. Specify the asset's address and any other information about its location.
    Using the address fields, you can specify an address, intersection, block, or range of addresses. You can provide additional information about the location in the Location field, such as directions to or a description of the address. Under Location Information, you can record information to further indicate the asset's location, such as the asset's map coordinates or the parcel that it is located on.
  7. Specify any other information that is required to identify or manage the asset.
    Infor Public Sector shows different options depending on the type of asset record you're creating. You can add warranties, list the contacts that are responsible for the current asset, and associate related parts, safety messages, and other assets.
  8. Click Save.
