Usage areas

A usage area is an asset that is generally part of a larger asset, such as a section of a facility or complex. For example, if your asset inventory contains a large athletic complex, you could divide the complex into usage areas such as the pool area, baseball diamond, and tennis courts. By dividing your assets you can create work orders for the specific areas of your assets that require maintenance, and track the costs of modifications and upgrades to these areas. You can also divide the usage areas themselves into smaller areas, such as dividing a Greenhouse usage area into these smaller usage areas: tropical, desert plants, and perennials.

You can create usage areas from any asset menu and then establish the necessary asset associations. You can view these associations in a graphical format in the Asset Browser. All the assets that are associated with an asset are displayed within that asset's node in the Assets tree.
