Park asset types

Note: The asset types that are available to you depend on your access rights and on the asset products that your agency has purchased.
Asset type Special features
Appurtenance Use the Associated Assets grid to associate other assets with the appurtenance, such as a sidewalk or landscape that it is located on. Several fields indicate structural information about the appurtenance, such as its color and dimensions. An appurtenance is a miscellaneous park asset that does not fall under any of the existing park asset types, such as a bus shelter, bench, or historical marker.
Fluid storage unit Use the Associated Assets grid to associate other assets with the fluid storage unit, such as a complex that it is a part of or a building that uses its supply. Several fields indicate structural information about the unit, such as its dimensions, fluid level, and ground elevation.
Landscape Several fields indicate structural information about the landscape, such as its type and dimensions. A landscape is any portion of land that is connected to a park, such as a nature trail or flower garden.
Light The Position field shows the light's position at the address. The position cannot exceed the maximum number of positions allowed for street lights at the address, and a position of 0 indicates that the light is not in use. Several fields indicate technical information about the light, its control, and its pole. Use the Name Plate grid to record data from the light's name plate, such as its model and manufacturer. Use the Performance Indicators grid to record a performance reading for the light, such as its average lamp circuit wattage. Use the Usage grid in the InfoViewer to record the light's usage.
Park Use the Associated Assets grid to list the assets that are located within the park, such as buildings and street lights. Use the Components tab to define components of the park that can be inspected separately.
Sidewalk Use the Associated Assets grid to associate other assets with the sidewalk, such as street lights and intersecting sidewalks. Several fields indicate structural information about the sidewalk, such as its surface type, length, and amount of pedestrian traffic.
Sign Several fields indicate structural information about the sign, such as its vertical and horizontal clearances, type of reflective coating, and text. The Light field indicates the light that is attached to the sign.
Storm inlet Several fields indicate structural information about the inlet, such as its grate type and its inlet and outlet depth. An inlet is an opening in a storm main that serves as a drainage point for surface water.
Support Use the Associated Assets grid to associate other assets with the support, such as a street light or sign that use the support. Several fields indicate structural information about the support, such as its material and its vertical and horizontal clearances. A support is a structure that supports a traffic light, street sign, or similar asset.
Tree Several elements indicate identification information about the tree, such as its botanical name, its growing space, and whether it should be monitored for clearance around buildings and wires. The Landscape field indicates the portion of land that the tree is located on.
Water backflow preventer Several fields indicate structural information about the backflow preventer, such as its size and pressure zone. Other fields indicate the main and service line that the preventer is associated with. Backflow preventers are used to prevent the accidental backflow of water run-off into buildings.
Water hydrant Several fields indicate structural information about the hydrant, such as the size of its feeder and outlets. Other fields indicate the main, valve, and service line that it is associated with.
Water storage unit Use the Associated Assets grid to associate other assets with the storage unit, such as a water valve attached to it or a building that uses its supply. Several fields indicate structural information about the unit, such as its dimensions, pressure zone, and water level.
Water valve The Position field shows the valve's position at the address. The position cannot exceed the maximum number of positions allowed for water valves at the address, and a position of 0 indicates that the valve is not in use. Several fields indicate structural information about the valve, such as its pressure zone and size. Other fields indicate the main and service line that the valve is associated with. Use the Name Plate grid to record data from the valve's name plate, such as its model and manufacturer. Use the Performance Indicators grid to record a performance reading for the valve, such as its average flow rate. Use the Usage grid in the InfoViewer to record the valve's usage.
Water well Use the Associated Assets grid to associate other assets with the well, such as the water pump that is attached to it or a building that uses its supply. Several fields indicate structural information about the well, such as its depth and the performance of its pump. The Service Line field indicates the service line that it is associated with.
