Note: The asset types that are available to you depend on your access rights and on the asset products that your agency has purchased.
Asset type Special features
Equipment The Position field shows the fleet equipment asset's position at the address. The position cannot exceed the maximum number of positions allowed for fleet equipment assets at the address, and a position of 0 indicates that the asset is not in use. Use the Name Plate grid to record data from the equipment unit's name plate, such as its type of cycle motor, number of amps, and voltage. Use the Performance Indicators grid to record a performance reading for the equipment unit, such as a fuel efficiency reading during a work order. The Subunit Of field indicates the equipment unit that this equipment is a part of. For example, a motor might be a subunit of a pump, because the motor can be serviced separately but the pump can't run without the motor. Use the Tires grid to record information about the tires on the unit and the Fuel Usage grid to record refueling information. Use the Usage grid in the InfoViewer to record equipment usage of any other type. Use the Components tab to define components of the equipment unit that can be inspected separately.
Vehicle The Position field shows the vehicle's position at the address. Use the Tires grid to record information about the tires on the vehicle and the Fuel Usage grid to record refueling information.
