Probability of failure multipliers

Probability of failure (PoF) multipliers are used to adjust the PoF scores for selected assets if those assets are either more likely or less likely than average to fail. Each PoF multiplier applies to a specific failure definition and one or more asset groups. For example, the pumps in a city's oldest sewage treatment plant might be 50% more likely than average to overheat due to their age, so you could define a PoF multiplier with a value of 1.5 for the pumps in that plant. For assets that are less likely than average to fail, you can create a multiplier with a value less than 1, such as 0.85.
