Asset risk calculations

After you've defined your risk event types, you can use Recalculate Asset Risk to calculate assets' risk scores. You can calculate new risk scores for newly created assets, but in most cases you will recalculate existing assets' risk scores based on the most recent information.

Infor Public Sector uses the criteria that you specify for the risk calculation to determine which assets and risk event types to include. For example, you can calculate risk scores for selected assets, asset types, or asset groups. In these cases Infor Public Sector will calculate risk scores for all event types that apply to the selected assets, based on the asset types that are associated with the event types' failure definitions. Conversely, if you calculate risk for selected event types, Infor Public Sector will calculate risk scores for just those event types for all assets to which they apply.

You can run the risk calculation manually, or schedule it to run later in the Batch Manager.

The results of the calculation for each asset will include a separate risk score for each applicable event type. To review asset risk information once it is calculated, you can use Lookup Asset Risk, Lookup Risk Summary Groups, or the Life History tab on the asset InfoViewer.
