Graphing LOS distribution

After performing an LOS calculation, you can view charts of the present and projected LOS of the assets in an LOS project. To show the charts, click the Graph link above the grid on the Calculation Results page.

Each chart shows a series of columns, with each column representing a range of LOS values. The LOS values in each range will depend on the scale that your agency has defined. Each column shows the number of assets whose present or projected LOS falls within that range.

The present LOS distribution chart shows the current LOS values of the assets in the selected asset group. it is calculated using the assets' LOS values from inspections conducted prior to the calculation date and the deterioration rate of the assets from the inspection date to the calculation date.

The projected LOS distribution chart shows the LOS values of the assets after the repair or replacement activity is completed. The projected LOS distribution is calculated using the assets' present LOS values, the budget for the repair or replacement of the assets, and the cost of the repair or replacement activity.
