User authentication and sign-out process
You can sign in through these methods:
- Card swipe authentication:
Swipe a valid user card through the magnetic stripe reader. Physical user cards must be registered through the backend system. To do this, connect a USB magnetic stripe reader to a computer and swipe the card to capture the data into the Enterprise Management (EM) system.
- Manual user ID entry:
Specify your user ID in the Enter User ID on-screen numeric keypad. Depending on your configuration, authentication may proceed automatically upon entry or require tapping to complete the sign-in process.
Note: Both authentication methods can be enabled concurrently. For
enhanced security, enable only card swipe authentication and disable manual user ID entry. For
details, contact your Infor POS representative.
To sign out, tap from the command bar.
