Adding printer parameters for a logical printer

  1. Select Editors > Printing > Printer Configuration.
  2. Click Parameters.
  3. Click Add Logical Printer Parameters.
  4. Specify this information:
    Logical Printer
    Select a printer.
    Consolidate
    Select this check box to have menu item modifiers displayed as one line in a kitchen display system (KDS).
    Show Fixed Header
    Select this check box to show the header configured in Headers/Trailers.
    Show Fixed Footer
    Select this check box to show the footer configured in Headers/Trailers.
    Print By Guest
    Select this check box to group orders in the receipt by guest.
    Label Width
    Select a width option for the receipt.
    Label Height
    Select a height option for the receipt. Optionally, select Unlimited to set no height limit for the receipt.
    Print by Course
    Select this check box to group orders in the receipt by course.
    Note: If both Print By Guest and Print by Course check boxes are selected, orders are grouped first by course, and then by guest.
    Cut Page
    Select this check box to automatically cut a receipt at the end of a page. The length of a page depends on the height specified in Label Height.
    Print Summary
    For a KDS, select one of these options:
    • No

      Select this option to have no print summary displayed in the KDS.

    • On Top

      Select this option to have a summary of menu items displayed at the top of the KDS.

    • On Bottom

      Select this option to have a summary of menu items displayed at the bottom of the KDS.

    Kitchen Receipt Printing
    Select Standard to print all menu items in one receipt.Optionally, select 1 per menu item to print one receipt per menu item ordered.
    Active
    Select this check box to enable the logical printer in the selected revenue center.
  5. Click Add.
