Adding a reason button

Use Infor POS Enterprise Manager to add a reason button in Infor POS for these situations:
  • Voiding menu items
  • Returning menu items
  • Inserting cash to the cash drawer
  • Removing cash from the cash drawer

For categorizing a reason, you can only choose a single option for the reason button.

  1. Select Configuration > Touchscreen > Reason.
  2. Click Add Reason.
  3. Specify this information:
    Reason
    Specify a name for the reason button.
    Code
    Specify a code for the reason button. This information is used in the Sales and Operations Report.
    Apply to Void
    Optionally, select this check box to categorize the reason for voiding menu items.
    Apply to Return
    Optionally, select this check box to categorize the reason for returning menu items.
    Paid In
    Optionally, select this check box to categorize the reason for inserting cash to the cash drawer.
    Paid Out
    Optionally, select this check box to categorize the reason for removing cash from the cash drawer.
    Active
    Select this check box to enable the modifier in the selected revenue center.
  4. Click Save.
