Hardware

Hardware available for your Infor POS terminal are based on your subscription agreement with your Infor POS representative. These hardware are supplied by third parties affiliated with Infor POS.

Therefore, the steps described in this guide using some hardware may not apply to your Infor POS terminal. This table describes the hardware configurable to Infor POS:

Item	Description
Bar code scanner	Use the bar code scanner to scan menu items and add them into a check. Optionally, use the scanner to scan credit cards, debit cards, and stored-value cards to specify card information in place of the on-screen numeric keypad or keyboard.
Magnetic strip reader (MSR)	Use the magnetic strip reader to specify card information for credit cards, debit cards, and stored value cards in place of the on-screen numeric keypad or keyboard.
PIN pad	Use the PIN pad in place of the on-screen numeric keypad or keyboard to specify card information for credit cards, debit cards, and stored-value cards.
Printer	Use the printer for the printing commands.
Tablet	Use the tablet to tap buttons.
Touchscreen terminal	Use the touchscreen terminal to tap buttons.
Weighing scale	Use the weighing scale for the weighing commands.
