Adding forced modifiers to a menu item

A forced modifier cannot be skipped or removed from a menu item. During the ordering process, the system requires the user to select a value for each forced modifier to proceed with the transaction.

The option to add or remove a modifier from a menu item is displayed in the modifier window. You can also use modifier windows for menu items that require a specific sequence of modifiers to be added or removed in an order.

  1. Select Configuration > Menu Items > Quick Add Menu Items.
  2. In the row of the menu item, click the Details list.
  3. Click Forced Modifiers.
  4. Click Add Modifier Window.
  5. Specify this information:
    Modifier Window
    Specify an option.
    Order
    Specify a number. This determines the sequence of appearance of the modifier window for a menu item with multiple modifier windows.
    Active
    Select this check box to enable the modifier window in the selected revenue center.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Optionally, add a modifier window to multiple menu items:
    1. Select Configuration > Menu Items > Manage Menu Items.
    2. In the Select a Major Group section, select an option.
    3. In the Select a Family Group section, select an option.
    4. In the Select Menu Item(s) section, select a group of menu items.
    5. Click Attach Forced Modifiers to show the Add Modifier Window for Selected Items window.
    6. Specify this information:
      Modifier Window
      Select an option.
      Order
      Specify a number. This determines the order of appearance of the modifier window for a menu item with multiple modifier windows.
      Active
      Select this check box to enable the modifier window in the selected revenue center.
    7. Click Add.
