Processing refund transactions

The refund transaction is on the module record and is available to export to the financial system. Refund details are validated.

  1. On the sidebar, select Refunds > Refund Maintenance.
  2. To add a new refund transaction entry, click New.
  3. Specify the Pathway module to refund from in the Module field. Optionally, you can click the search icon to select an existing module.
  4. Select a transaction record:
    1. Click the search icon in the Module Reference field.
      The displayed form is based on the specified value in the Module field. For example, the Assessment Search Profile form is displayed for the LRA - Rates Accounting module.
    2. Specify your search criteria, then click Search.
    3. Select a record in the Results panel, then click Select.
    4. Specify this information:
      Refund
      Specify the refund amount.
      Generation Run
      Specify the generation run. Optionally, you can click the search icon to search for an existing generation run.
      Comments
      Provide a description for the nature of the refund. This field is used on the rates transaction and refund transaction export.
    5. Click Select.
      By default, the names from each module are displayed in the Name Selection grid. In the case of rates assessment, the rate payer's name is displayed by default. There must be at least one name before you can proceed with the refund process.
  5. Click Save.
