General ledger interface overview

The General Ledger Interface system includes these functions:

• The initial population and refreshing of core general ledger accounts from an external source
• The core general ledger for account validation for Pathway and Strategy modules
• A transaction file in which financial transactions are stored before updating an external general ledger system
• Transaction reports over the core general ledger transaction file
• The update routine of the core general ledger transaction file that output transactions to a flat file in preparation for import into an external general ledger system
• A transaction file recovery facility in the event that the transaction file is inadvertently cleared or deleted before completion of the export process
