Setting up taxable and non-taxable application classes

You must set up these parameters within each application class.

When the application class is non-taxable:

  1. Select System Parameters.
  2. Set all non-taxable type parameters to the required value for these options:
    • System accounts
    • Application accounts/fee accounts
    • Application accounts/deposit retained accounts
    • Contribution accounts/fee accounts
    • Contribution accounts/deposit retained accounts
When the application class is a combination of taxable and non-taxable, assuming that system, fee, and contribution accounts set up indicates taxable:
  3. Select Application fees.
  4. Select all non-taxable fees and select the required non-taxable type value.
Note: If all non-taxable fees are GST free and parameters are not accessed, the default non-taxable type value is N when generating the financial transactions.
  5. Select Contribution fees.
  6. Select all non-taxable fees and select the required non-taxable type value.
Note: If all contribution fees are non-taxable, the Class System parameters should be accessed and contribution accounts/fee accounts set to non-taxable type of N or 8. This setting prevents accessing each fee individually.
