Setting up data types

You can set up file and template locations required for each data type.
  1. On the sidebar, select Memos > Maintain Data Types.
  2. Select a data type from the grid.
  3. Click Modify.
  4. Specify this information:
    Description
    Provide a description of the data type. For example, Microsoft Excel 5.
    Active
    Select this check box to make the data type available for use within the Memo system.
    Executable File
    Specify the executable file name for the data type. The file name must have a file extension of .EXE. This field is only required on the Excel and Lotus data types.
    Template Directory
    Specify the template directory where the standard Stowe issued templates are held. The template directory path must not end in a backslash. This field is only required on the Excel and Lotus data types.
    Default Document Directory
    Specify the directory path. You can use a single or a drive and a directory path. For example, R: or R:\EXCEL. The document path must not end in a backslash. This field is only required on the Excel and Lotus data types.
  5. Click Save.
