Setting up data types
You can set up file and template locations required for
each data type.
- On the sidebar, select Memos > Maintain Data Types.
- Select a data type from the grid.
- Click Modify.
- Specify this information:
- Description
- Provide a description of the data type. For example, Microsoft Excel 5.
- Active
- Select this check box to make the data type available for use within the Memo system.
- Executable File
- Specify the executable file name for the data type. The file name must have a file extension of .EXE. This field is only required on the Excel and Lotus data types.
- Template Directory
- Specify the template directory where the standard Stowe issued templates are held. The template directory path must not end in a backslash. This field is only required on the Excel and Lotus data types.
- Default Document Directory
- Specify the directory path. You can use a single or a drive and a directory path. For example, R: or R:\EXCEL. The document path must not end in a backslash. This field is only required on the Excel and Lotus data types.
- Click Save.
