Emailing application overview

Emailing is a Pathway application used to send email messages for other Pathway applications based on custom templates. You can specify these items in the templates:

Message subjects
Plain text bodies
HTML bodies (optional)

Each of these fields can include placeholders that enable Pathway data to be dynamically included in messages at the time of sending.

This application is only linked to word processing, for use in the electronic delivery of documents.

You must send messages with HTML content through SMTP instead of the pre-existing method, which is an email client such as Microsoft Outlook. You can take some configuration steps to enable message sending through SMTP. See Release Notes Special Instructions 3.05.

Note: Some tasks may require familiarity with HTML coding.
