Printers
Client Direct is the configuration for the existing receipt printer hardware.
The Email printer does not perform actual printing, but this printer is required for batch jobs that send email reports.
The Printer Maintenance form in UX is restricted to client and email printer types. Previous values are not deleted and can still be viewed through the Thick and Smart Clients.
Client Direct printers only work on Windows Desktop devices and require the Pathway Agent to be installed.
Printing output from Batch Jobs is directed to a browser page and is available on all devices. The user can the use the browser to print to any physical printer it is capable of printing to.
Server and local printers are not available in UX.
Word processing printing allows the user to select from a valid list of printers such as network printer, OneNote and other printers. The Pathway Agent controls Word Processing printing.
