Creating a Menu widget

  1. On the Pages > Drafts page, click New.
  2. On the Select Template page, select Menu Widget.
  3. In the Configure Page > Template Settings section, select the elements to add to the widget.
    1. In the Widget section, specify the title and the subtitle.
    2. In the Subtitle > Show component field, switch on this option to show the subtitle.
    3. In the Menu List section, select the number of buttons and switch on the option to show the button icons.
    4. In the Button sections, select the type of button icons.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Specify the page properties and assign data services.
  6. Click Next.
  7. On the New Page page, perform these steps:
    1. In the Elements section, select Subtitle.
    2. In the Strings section, specify a static text or select a global string value for the label and its tooltip.
    3. Optionally, in the Elements > Menu List > Attributes section, change the setting to show or hide the button icons.
    4. In the Elements > Menu List section, select a button element.
    5. Optionally, in the Attributes section, change the type of icon.
    6. In the Strings section, specify a static text or select a global string value for the button label.
    7. In the Options section, configure the button element.
  8. Click Finish.
  9. Optionally, in the Page Saved dialog box, select the Deploy this version to Portal catalog check box.
  10. Click Publish or Later.

If you publish the widget, the widget is automatically added to the list of projects on the Published page. If you select the deploy option, the widget is directly deployed to the Widget Catalog.
