Creating a Greeting widget
- On the Pages > Drafts page, click New.
- On the Select Template page, select Greeting Widget.

In the Configure Page > Template Settings section, select the elements to add to the widget.
- In the Widget section, specify the title and the subtitle.
- In the Profile Photo > Show component field, switch on this option to show the user image or initials.
- In the Subtitle > Show component field, switch on this option to show the subtitle.
- In the Button > Show component field, switch on this option to show the button.
- Click Next.

Specify the page properties and assign data services.
Note: The greeting widget has a built-in data service for the user name and profile photo properties. This data service cannot be updated or removed from the Selected Data Services section.
- Click Next.

On the New Page page, perform these steps:
- In the Elements section, select Personalized Greeting.

In the Data Properties
section, select the bound property.
Optionally, change the bound property value.Note: The Personalized Greeting element is bound to a data service that shows a welcome message and the name of the user. You can remove this data service and select a different value for the greeting.
- In the Context Message section, set up the context message for the receiving component, sending component, or both.
- In the Elements section, select Subtitle.
- In the Strings section, specify a static text or select a global string value for the label and its tooltip.
- In the Elements section, select Button.
- In the Strings section, specify a static text or select a global string value for the button label.
- In the Options section, configure the button element.
- Click Finish.
- Optionally, in the Page Saved dialog box, select the Deploy this version to Portal catalog check box.
- Click Publish or Later.
If you publish the widget, the widget is automatically added to the list of projects on the Published page. If you select the deploy option, the widget is directly deployed to the Widget Catalog.
