Setting up context messages

You can set up context messages for the receiving component, sending component, or both.
  1. On the Context Messages page, create context message objects.
    See Creating a context message.
  2. Create or edit a widget.
    • If you are creating a new widget, perform the steps on New Page.
    • If you are updating an existing widget, perform the steps on Edit Page.
  3. In the Elements section, select a widget element.
  4. In the Data Properties section, select the bound property.
  5. In the Context Message section, click Receiving or Sending.
  6. In the Context Message dialog box, perform these steps:
    1. In the Message field, select a context message object.
    2. Optionally, click the Details button to view the context message details.
    3. In the Data Field column, select the source of the corresponding context parameter.
      Note: For send context messages, you can select your defined page variable.

    4. Click Save.
  7. Click Finish.
