Creating a Banner widget

  1. On the Pages > Drafts page, click New.
  2. On the Select Template page, select Banner Widget.
  3. In the Configure Page > Template Settings > Widget section, specify the title and the subtitle.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Specify the page properties and assign data services.
  6. Click Next.
  7. On the New Page page, perform these steps:
    1. Select Elements > Logo Image.
    2. In the Data Properties section, select the bound property value.
    3. Optionally, in the Context Message section, set up the context message for the receiving component, sending component, or both.
    4. Select Elements > Title.
    5. In the Strings section, specify a static text or select a global string value for the label and its tooltip.
    6. Select Elements > Subtitle.
    7. In the Strings section, specify a static text or select a global string value for the label and its tooltip.
  8. Click Finish.
  9. Optionally, in the Page Saved dialog box, select the Deploy this version to Portal catalog check box.
  10. Click Publish or Later.

If you publish the widget, the widget is automatically added to the list of projects on the Published page. If you select the deploy option, the widget is directly deployed to the Widget Catalog.
