Creating a Greeting widget

  1. On the Pages > Drafts page, click + New Page.
  2. On the Select Template page, select Greeting Widget.
  3. In the Configure Page > Template Settings section, select the elements to add to the widget.
    1. In the Widget > Title field, click the Search list icon to select from the list of available global strings.
    2. In the Profile Photo > Show Component field, switch on this option to show the image.
    3. In the Button > Show Component field, switch on this option to show the button.
    4. In the Logo > Show Component field, switch on this option to show the logo.
    5. In the Day/Date/Time > Show Component field, switch on this option to show the current date and time.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Specify the page properties and assign data services.
    Note: The greeting widget has a built-in data service for the user name and profile photo properties. This data service cannot be updated or removed from the Selected Data Services section.
  6. Click Next.
  7. On the New Page page, perform these steps:
    1. In the Elements section, select an element.
    2. In the Data Properties section, select the bound property.
      Optionally, change the bound property value.
    3. In the Context Message section, set up the context message for the receiving component, sending component, or both.
    4. In the Strings section, perform these steps depending on the element:
      • For the label component, specify a static text or select a global string value for the label and its tooltip.
      • For the button component, select a global string value for the button.
    5. For the button component, to configure the button action settings, in the Options section, click Configure Element.
  8. Click Finish.
  9. In the Page Saved dialog box, click Later or Publish.

If you click Publish, the new widget is automatically added to the list of projects on the Published page.
