Inventory transfer
An inventory transfer is a transaction where one stock location transfers inventory items to another stock location. Transfers can be tagged as either in-transit or not. In-transit transfers undergo an extra receiving process before the inventory items are added to the destination location’s SOH.
While in non-in-transit transfers the inventory items are added to the destination location’s SOH immediately upon releasing. Traditionally, inventory transfers were processed using FSM or Infor Lawson Inventory Transaction with document type Inventory Transfer and Inventory Transaction Line. You can process them on a handheld device using the inventory transfer feature.
