Searching for locations from the desktop

When there are multiple supply locations where the item can be pulled from, you can perform a supply location search.

The Enter Charge Header page displays the default supply locations configured by your administrator.

  1. In the Enter Charge Header page, click the Search button. The Search for Supply Locations dialog box is displayed.
  2. Specify this information:
    Search by

    Select to search locations, location types, or both. The default settings are set to Locations only.

    Location Type

    Select Par to search locations identified as a par locations. Par locations represent supply cupboards, exchange carts and par level supply carts that store items for quick retrieval for patient use.

    Select Stock to search locations identified as a stock locations.

    The default settings are set to Par only.

    Note: You can select multiple locations if the location type selected is "par." Only one location can be selected if location type is "stock."
    Location ID

    Specify the location ID of the location that you want to search.

    Location Description

    Specify the description of the location that you want to search.

  3. Select Search to display all the locations that fit your search criteria.
  4. Choose the correct supply location and click OK.

    The Enter Charge Header page is displayed and the supply location listbox is populated with previously selected supply location.
