Launching the touchscreen

Ensure that the Point of Use for Nursing touchscreen is configured by your administrator.

Note: To access the touchscreen, users must have any of these roles:

Set A

  • Point of Use - Touchscreen - Enter Records (allow users to pull chargeable and non-chargeable items)

  • Point of Use - Touchscreen - Enter Returns (allow users to return chargeable and non-chargeable items)

  • Point of Use - Touchscreen - View Records (allow users to view chargeable and non-chargeable items)

Set B

  • Point of Use - Touchscreen - Enter Records - Non Chargeable (allow users to pull non-chargeable items only)

  • Point of Use - Touchscreen - Enter Returns - Non Chargeable (allow users to return non-chargeable items only)

  • Point of Use - Touchscreen - View Records - Non Chargeable (allow users to view non-chargeable items only)

Set A and B roles should not be set together under a user group.

Note: Refer to the Mobile Supply Chain Management and POU Administration Guide for browser settings when using the touchscreen.
  1. Access the Point of Use for Nursing application by tapping the POU - Touchscreen icon on the desktop.

    You can also open the Internet Explorer and select the POU - Touchscreen link under Favorites. This link is saved during setup. The Point of Use for Nursing login pages are displayed.

  2. Using the onscreen keyboard, specify your username and password.
  3. Tap Login to access the Point of Use for Nursing application.

    You can also press Enter to access the Point of Use for Nursing application. The Infor Point of Use for Nursing main menu is displayed.

    Note: If the touchscreen workstation is configured to enable Idle Time, the application automatically logs off when idle after a number of minutes defined by your administrator.
    Note: 

    For POU Touchscreen accessed within Active Directory Federation Services version 3.0 ( ADFS 3.0), the Tablet PC Input Service needs to be enabled and started.

    The onscreen touch-keyboard is not on full display in the login page if the touchscreen workstation is accessed within ADFS 3.0.

    To log in (initial):

    1. Tap on the User ID field to display the Keyboard icon.
    2. Tap the Keyboard icon to display onscreen touch-keyboard.
    3. Specify your User ID and Password.

    To hide the onscreen touch-keyboard:

    1. Tap Close (X).

    To log in again immediately after logging out and the onscreen touch-keyboard is closed:

    1. Drag the portion of the keyboard to the center to display the full on-screen touch-keyboard.
      Note: A portion of the keyboard is visible at the mid-left side of the screen.
    2. Tap Backspace to display the login page.

      The full onscreen touch-keyboard is visible all throughout from login to logout, in POU on the succeeding logins when the onscreen touch-keyboard is not closed.
