Finding a patient from the touchscreen

  1. On the Select Patient screen, tap Search Patient.
  2. Specify this information:
    Patient Name

    Specify the Last Name or First Name of the patient you want to search for.

    Visit Number

    Specify the visit number of the patient.

    Patient ID
    Specify the patient ID of the patient.
    Date of Birth
    Specify the birth date of the patient.
    Patient Location

    Specify the room and bed number of the patient.

    Admission Period

    Specify the admission period of the patient.

    Note: The default admission period displayed one day from the current date. You can only use the calendar to change the dates of the admission period.
    Discharged Patients

    Select Yes if you want to search and charge items to discharged patients. Select No if you want to search and charge items to admitted patients.

    Note: The default selected is No.
    Note: Use the on-screen keyboard to specify the patient name, visit number, and patient location.
  3. Tap Search to display all the patients that fit your search criteria on the Select Patient screen.
    Note: The system performs a "like" search for your search criteria.
    Note: To display all the patients again, tap Search Patient and tap Exit on the Search Patient screen.
