Updating MPC, RAD and POU on Android using the auto-update feature

The auto-update feature provides you with an efficient method to update applications on the handheld.
Note: An auto-notification displays when an update is available for download if the version installed in the device is older than the current version installed in the MSCM server. The user may have the option to install the update, to be reminded after 12 hours, one day, three days, or not to install the update. The user will be reminded again after the selected number of hours or days if the reminder is selected. If Don't Update is selected, the current version installed in the device will be retained.
  1. On the auto-update screen on the handheld, click Start.
    A message about downloading FileName.apk is displayed during the installation process.
  2. When the download is completed for all the files, click Install for each product. The installation process will close when it is complete.
  3. Log in to MSCM to test the updated applications.
    Note: The auto-update option is only available if the user is set up to a usergroup with Handheld.
