POU system interface process
Infor uses the Clinical Bridge Integration Suite to interface with different 3rd party systems such as the Admission, Discharge, and Transfer (ADT) system, Scheduling system (POU for Department Inventory only).
Clinical Bridge Integration Suite is a healthcare data integration engine; it facilitates the movement of data through disparate systems within and outside the enterprise.
Point of Use for Nursing and Department Inventory may accept patient or case information processed in Clinical Bridge from 3rd party applications. It may also generate information for the Billing system.
HL7 is the preferred format of inbound and outbound information that will be received and sent by Clinical Bridge.
Additional considerations
-
Clinical Bridge configuration will be provided by the Clinical Bridge professionals. This includes installation, extraction of HL7 messages based on the customer setup, parsing and transferring of required segments to MSCM database based on the field mapping. For more information, see HL7 Messages Mapping to MSCM Database Tables
-
The HL7 message field mapping shown in HL7 Messages Mapping to MSCM Database Tables is based on version 2.5.1. Clinical Bridge professionals should adjust the message segment to the equivalent segment depending on the version of the customer’s system.
-
Segments that are not included in the list will be ignored by the Clinical Bridge engine.
-
If Clinical Bridge encounters an error during parsing of the required HL7 segments, the whole message will be disregarded and will not be transferred to MSCM database.
-
Clinical Bridge will provide an error logging files to store the details of the messages with errors.
-
Processed records from the staging tables will not be deleted and will serve as historical data for auditing purposes.
