Installing POU on the Honeywell Dolphin handheld browser

Before you install Mobile Supply Chain Management, you must first establish the network access.

  1. Click Start.
  2. Select Internet Explorer.
  3. Specify the IP address for the application server and the path to the handheld files.

    For example: http://lawson17:8080/hh/

    After you have successfully connected to the server, a browser window with Index of /hh./ is displayed.

  4. Scroll down to PlatformDLL_DolphinPPC2003.CAB for Pocket PC 2003 or PlatformDLL_DolphinWM5.CAB for Windows Mobile 5.0, and then click the file. The download dialog box displays.
  5. Tap Change.

  6. On the Location menu, select IPSM.
  7. On the Folder menu, select AutoInstall and tap OK.
    Note: Saving the CAB file on the \IPSM\AutoInstall folder keeps it from being erased when a hard reset or cold boot is performed on the handheld device. Saving the CAB on the\IPSM\AutoInstall folder automatically reinstalls MSCM on the handheld device after a hard reset.
  8. After the download of the CAB file is completed, select File > Menu > Open to install the file.
  9. After the installation of the CAB file is complete, select HHShell.CAB, and then repeat steps 5 through 8.
  10. Select POU.CAB, and then repeat steps 5 through 8.
  11. Close the browser window.
  12. Return to the handheld main screen and select Start > Programs from the list.
  13. A programs window displays. Double-click Mobile SCM.

  14. Before you can log into the handheld, you will need to point the handheld application to the application server. Select shortcut is displayed on the Start Menu.File.
  15. Select Settings and specify the MSCM server address and Infor Lawson server address. Note that the Storage Path field will contain \Lawson
    Note: The server address format consists of the server IP and port only, for example, lawson17:8080. It must not contain any http:// string or directory name.
