Creating manifests

Use this procedure to create a manifest. When you create a manifest, you group distribution lines together so they can be selected as a group for delivery later, either by handheld or on the browser. Deliveries may include multiple packages with each package containing multiple distribution lines.

Note: You can still create a manifest even if MSCM is being upgraded in a Multi-tenant environment.
  1. Select Delivery from the Receiving and Delivery menu.
  2. Select Delivery > Create Manifest.
The Search for Distribution Lines to Create Manifest page is displayed.
  3. Specify this information for the search criteria:
    Receiving Company - Route

Select at least one company or route.

Note: Only distribution lines of type PO and NON PO that have not been confirmed or released at their final delivery locations are included in the search results. Lines of type DOCKLOG are not included.
  4. Use the advanced search to search for delivery lines. Specify this information:
    Received Date From

Use Received Date From and To to search for distribution lines that were created within the defined range.

    Received Date To

Use Received Date From and To to search for distribution lines that were created within the defined range.

    Tracking

Specify a tracking number to search for multiple delivery line IDs. The delivery line ID is the unique identifier for a distribution line.

    Carrier Tracking

Specify a carrier tracking number to search for multiple carrier tracking numbers.

    PO Number

Specify a PO Number to search for multiple PO numbers.

    Shipment Number

Specify a shipment number to search for multiple shipment numbers.

    Delivery Locations

You can select multiple delivery locations that are non-sequential using a Find Locations icon/link. Only locations to which you have access are visible.

    The default is all locations.

    Delivery Unit Type

Select the distribution line type. Line types include PO and Misc. Receipt.

    The default is All lines.

    Include Assigned

If you selected Include Assigned, the search includes the distribution lines that were saved (on a Manifest) or output (Printed or Downloaded).

Note: If you have not changed or specified any search criteria, the application uses the page’s default criteria for the search. For example, Location =All, Line Type=All, and the Include Assigned setting.
    Requisition Number

Use Requisition Number to search for multiple requisition numbers.

Note: One or more Distribution Lines must be checked in order to create a Manifest.
  5. Specify the search criteria and select Search.

To view the individual distribution lines for a location, select the Boxes icon.

To view all distribution lines (without a location grouping), select the Lines tab. You can use this view to view all the items that will be included in the manifest.

  6. Select or deselect the Add to Manifest box as desired for the Manifest that you want to create.
  7. Specify the Manifest Name.
  8. To create the manifest, select Create Manifest. The Manifest Created page is displayed.
  9. Click Print to print the page or Done to close the page.
