Configuring the printer agent

Configure the printer agent settings first before logging in.

  1. Launch the printer agent GUI.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Specify this information:
    URL

    The Print Service URL of the MSCM server you want to connect.

    Print interval
    Specify the print interval in milliseconds. This is the interval to send print jobs to the printer. The default is 10000 milliseconds.
    Note: Accepted values are numeric only.
    Sync interval
    Specify the sync interval in milliseconds. The default is 30000 milliseconds.
    Note: Accepted values are numeric only.
    DB Cleanup Interval
    Specify the interval between executions of db cleanup. The default is 21600000 milliseconds.
    Note: Accepted values are numeric only.
    Max Transaction Age
    Specify the age of printed transactions to be deleted from the db during cleanup. The default is 1 day.
    Note: Accepted values are numeric only.
    Auto Update Interval
    Specify the interval of the system check for new version updates. Default is 300000 milliseconds.
    Note: Accepted values are numeric only.
    MSCM in ST check box

    Specify if MSCM is in Single Tenant or not. Select the check box if Single Tenant, otherwise, leave blank. The default is blank.

    Connect Timeout
    Specify the maximum amount of time to wait for connection to print service. The default is 60000 milliseconds.
    Note: Accepted values are numeric only. Setting to zero will cause the connection not to timeout.
    Read Timeout
    Specify the maximum amount of time to wait for data to be sent from the print service. The default is 60000 milliseconds
    Note: Accepted values are numeric only. Setting to zero will cause the connection not to timeout.
    Public key

    Specify the public key.

    Note: Refer to the Printer Agent Authorization Public Key under Administration > System Management > Print Properties.
    Secret key

    Specify the secret key.

    Note: Refer to the Printer Agent Authorization Public Key under Administration > System Management > Print Properties.
    Enable SSL Checking
    Default is ON. This is used for https connections to MSCM printer service. When the setting is set to OFF, connecting to MSCM instances using https with invalid certificates is enabled.
    Note:  Initially, the Printers section is disabled. After the Printer Agent settings are defined and the user has successfully logged in, this section is enabled.
  4. Click Save.
