Adding a procedure template

  1. Select Point of Use for Department Inventory > Configuration.
  2. Select the Procedure Template tab.

    The Procedure Template is displayed.

  3. Click the Add button.
  4. Specify this information:
    Company

    Select the company that you want to associate with the procedure template.

    Facility

    Select a facility you want to identify with the procedure template.

    Procedure Template Name

    Specify a procedure template name to properly identify the procedure template.

    Charge Code

    Specify the charge code for the specific service that you want to add for the specific procedure template.

    The Description and the CPT code is automatically populated.

    Note: The Charge Code is automatically created in uppercase characters.
    Active

    Set the procedure template as active by selecting the check box.

    Clear the check box if the procedure template is inactive.

    Practitioner

    Optional. Select the name of the practitioner.

  5. Save your changes.
  6. Click Cancel to return to the previous page.
