Adding items from the desktop

Note: You should have the POU DI - Desktop - Case and POU DI - Desktop - Build Case role to perform this task.
  1. In the Build Case screen, place the cursor in the item field.
  2. Using the wedge scanner, scan the barcode of the item that you want to add to the procedure.
    Note: Scanning a concatenated serial/lot-tracked items will auto-populate the serial/lot field. When scanning a serial/lot-tracked item using an Infor Item Number or a stacked barcode, place the cursor in the serial/lot field and scan the serial/lot barcode.

    If the GTIN/HIBC numbers are not set up in FSM or Infor Lawson Inventory Control, the Infor Item Number will be used. Infor Item barcodes can be printed in MSCM Label Management.

    Note: For items tagged as Bone and Tissue, temperature is required. Specify the temperature by specifying it manually after it has been added to the case.
  3. Continue scanning until you have completed all the items needed for the procedure.
