Finding a case in Point of Use for Department Inventory using the additional search parameters

Note: You should have the POU DI - Handheld - Case role to perform this task.
Note: Additional Parameter icon is clickable only if the Facility, Department, Procedure Room and Case Date fields are not null/blank

If you click on the search button found in the Additional Search Fiilters screen, the system searches for records that satisfy the parameters specified in the additional search parameters screen and parameters found in the select case screen

  1. Tap on the additional parameters icon to display the Additional Search Filters screen.
  2. In the Patient field, leave the field blank or specify the first two characters of any of the items listed below and click on the search icon of the field. The Select Patient screen is displayed.
    • patient ID

    • patient name

    Note: Narrow down your search by tapping the check box. In the date of birth field, specify the date of birth of the patient and click on the search icon.

    Select the patient record from the list displayed.

  3. In the Practitioner field, specify the first two characters of any of the items listed below and click on the search icon of the field.
    • practitioner name (last name + first name)

    • employee ID

    Select the practitioner record from the list displayed.

  4. In the Personnel field, specify the first two characters of any of the items listed below and click on the search icon of the field.
    • personnel name

    • role

    Select the personnel record from the list displayed.

  5. In the Procedure field, specify the first two characters of any of the items listed below and click on the search icon of the field.
    • procedure description

    Select the procedure record from the list displayed.

  6. In the Item field, specify the first two characters of any of the items listed below and click on the search icon of the field.
    • item number

    • GTIN

    • HIBC

    Select the item record from the list displayed.

  7. Click Search.

    All cases that satisfy the search parameters are listed in the results area of the select case screen.

  8. In the list of cases, select the case you want to open.
