Configuring par replenishment

Note: You should set locations as both par and supply locations.
  1. Select Point of Use for Nursing
  2. Click configuration and select Set-up.
  3. Click the Par Replenishment tab.

    The Par Replenishment section is displayed.

  4. Specify this information:
    Company/Location

    Select the company you want to set up for par replenishment. You can expand a company to display all par locations.

    Inherit

    Select the check box for company level to inherit the parent company's par replenishment value at the global level, or select at par location level to inherit the parent stock location company's par replenishment value .

    Note: 

    The default setting for Inherit is enabled. Select/clear elements which are not applicable to your setup.

    Use Par Replenishment

    Enable Par Replenishment for either all companies, company level, or for each par location

    Note: 

    The default setting for Use Par Replenishment is Checked. Select/clear elements which are not applicable to your setup.

    Set Schedule

    This can be set at the location level.

    Note: 

    This feature is only available if Use Par Replenishment check box is enabled.

    Par replenishments for either any of these can be made on this page:

    • All companies

    • Each company

    • Each par location

  5. Select Inherit beside the selected company to copy the par replenishment settings and request either for all companies, at the company level, or for each par location.
    • User can set the scheduler to automatically process par replenishment.

    • If a location has enabled automatic replenishment but did not set a schedule, the par counts are still sent to procurement using the default that was set in the filter.property file.

    • If a location has enabled automatic replenishment and have set a schedule, the par counts are sent to procurement using the defined schedule.

    • Lastly, if the automatic replenishment is disabled for a location, a company or all companies, the par counts will be sent manually.

      Note: 

      Users can execute manual par count on top the automatic par count process. Users should replenish the par locations before they do manual par counts.

  6. Clicking the Set Schedule button displays these information:
    Frequency

    List for selecting and setting frequency of par schedule replenishments.

    Start Date

    \Specify or select a start date to include the par schedule process during a specific date range.

    End Date

    \Specify or select an end date to include the par schedule process during a specific date range.

    Time

    Specify an exact time for the par schedule process to begin.

  7. Click Add to set a preferred Par Replenishment Schedule.

    You can also set an exception for schedules by using the >> sign to move set schedules to the Exception(s) list.

  8. Click OK to save your changes.

    These schedule status are displayed:

    • Schedule has been set - Displays when a schedule has been defined for a given location.

    • Set schedule is nearing expiration/has expired - Displays reminders for set schedules with latest end date; occurs when set schedule is nearing its expiration or has expired.

      The frequency of display reminder is shown as follows:

      • Hourly - expiration is in one week.

      • Daily - expiration is in one week.

      • Weekly - expiration is in one month.

      • Monthly - expiration is in one month.

  9. Click Save to save your changes.
