Required information from the admission, discharge, and transfer system

Infor POU support ADT messages from the Admissions, Discharge and Transfer system.

Infor required fields

These are the required fields coming from the ADT system that contains patient information.


Infor required field	Description
Sending Application	The name of the application where the ADT messages originate.
Facility	The name of the Facility
Message Type	HL7 Message and Event
Patient ID	Unique patient identification number
Patient Name	Family Name^Given Name^ Middle Name
Birthdate	Date of Birth
Patient Account Number	Account number assigned by accounting to which all charges are recorded
Patient Class	Categorization of patients by site
Assigned Location	Assigned location of the patient. Department^Room^Bed^Facility
Patient Visit Number	Unique identification number for this visit
Admit Date	Date the patient was admitted
Discharge Date	Date the patient was discharged
Prior Patient ID	Previous patient's identification number
Prior Patient Account Number	Previous patient's account number

R = Required

O = Optional l (Value will be processed if not blank)

I = Ignored (Value will be accepted but will not be processed)

R** = User needs to choose whether to use the HL7 Facility value from MSH-4 or PV1-3. This needs to be set up in Cloverleaf.

R* for PID-5 = First and Last Name are Required, Middle Name is Optional (A01/A04)

R* for MRG-1 = Patient Code of the 2nd Patient (A17)

R* for MRG-3 = Visit Number of the 2nd Patient (A17)
